Hello everyone again sorry for the late and over due blog post. Hope fully I can fix my ways and up date this better. In the 10 resolutions I have one of them is update my blog better and more on time. So I hope that I can up date this better. Ok on to better things, you are probably wondering why the heck would she want to do a 2 part thing when she already has trouble updating her blog. Well I will tell you that I am writing it all on WORD and then I'm going to put 2010 part up now and 2011 at the end of the week. ok so here we go!!!!!.

Maandag 13- Woensdag 15 December 2010 Last week of school before the winter holidays. Monday and Tuesday were normal days got up, went to school had lunch , went home had a nice dinner and the went to bed. Wednesday we had sport day were we played sports against other teams in the school. I played basket ball were we won 2 games and lost 2 games in the end my class won a apple pie. ( I have come to a conclusion that apple pie is pretty big here).

Donderdag 16 December 2010 Today at 3:30 am I had to be at the School for our field trip to Berlin. Once on the bus I slept all the way to the first bathroom break which was in Germany. After the break I slept again  till we made it to Berlin. Berlin is approximately 6- 8 hrs drive away from Hoorn N.L. Once in Berlin we all went our separate ways my friends and I went and saw the Christmas Village and then had lunch and then went shopping. Well shopping we saw a piece of the original Berlin wall.  At dinner we all eat at this Italian restaurant that only allowed you to pay by cash or credit card. The food was good but we had to wait I little long for serves. After dinner we walked around stores playing games and rid the escalators for fun in one of the stores. Once we noticed the time we started to head back to the bus , but we stop on the way at the drunken donut shop and had hot coco and talked. Finally after coffee our teachers came and we went to the bus and started our journey back. Our journey back was short lived though… Dun, Dun ,dunnnnnnnnnn.  

Vrijdag 17 December 2010 Around 1am our bus stopped and when we all looked out we saw that we were in a huge traffic jam after an hour we realized that we weren’t going to be moving any time soon. It wasn’t till 11am that traffic started to fully move once we saw the first gas station we pulled over and stayed for while since we had been stuck for 11hrs in a traffic jam with over a thousand people in it. It wasn’t till 9pm that we all arrived back in Hoorn N.L. Once back in my host family I opened the two packages that my mom had sent.In the packages were peanut butter, jam, Gov. papers, stuffed animal and a letter. After I had a shower and went to bed to get a good nights sleep.

Zaterdag 18- Donderdag 23 December 2010  This week was pretty relaxing I didn’t do much. I got gifts for friends and did grocery shopping with my host family I also watched my host sisters perform in a christmas music performance.

Vrijdag 24 December 2010 Today I finished my Christmas shopping and then went over to Anouks and Luuks house for Christmas eve. Christmas eve was very nice we had a wonderful dinner cooked by my first host mother Anouk and then we opened gifts. I loved everything I got. Even with everything I still could help but feel a little sad that I wasn’t home celebrating with my family. All in all Christmas eve was every nice the tree was decorated like how I decorate mine back home. I’m glad that I got to have Christmas eve with my first host family.

Zaterdag 25 December 2010 Christmas morning was also very nice I had a very delicious breakfast with my first host family. After break fast I went back to my 2^nd host family to get ready for their celebration. At dinner we had a 5 course meal and then we had desert. All was lovely but I still could finish the drink they gave me. It wasn’t bad it just tasted to much of alcohol for my liking. After dinner we watched a Dutch movie about the war. Then we watched the Grinch which everyone other then me didnt really like.

Zonderdag 26 December 2010 Today we woke up early and got ready for the Christmas brunch with my host families parents. Bunch was nice I didn’t truly understand everything but at the moment I don’t think I will ever understand everything that happens here. After brunch everyone got ready for Daan and Pauline’s 12 ½ year anniversary. Witch was nice but at times cold.  After going to the church and having a small ceremony there we went to the old defence tower in Enkhuizen and had dinner and we danced to old Dutch music, that I had no idea of what they were saying. The night was fun but I’m sad to say I was happy when I was done I don’t think my feet could handle anymore of the shoes I was wearing.

Maandag 27- Dinsdag 28 December 2010 These days were relaxing and nice.

Woensdag 29 December 2010 Sprookjewonderland Day. Today I went with Emma to visit Sprookjewonderland in Enkhuizen where we saw all the children stories come to life. The park was super fun we did everything that we could. After visiting all the stories and taking crazy photos Emma, her family and I went back to Emma’s house for dinner. Dinner was fun, the food was really good. After dinner and tea we watched Emma’s and her families favorite music show, which I must say is pretty different but fun at the times that I could understand.

Donderdag 30 December 2010 Today was an early day my family and I got up and went to Hoofddorp to go shopping at the Primark and at H&M. the day was fun I got a lot of new cloths and other neat things.   

Vrijdag 31 December 2010 New Year in Holland or Netherlands is full of wild parties and fireworks. Traditionally on New Year's Eve, the Dutch eat oliebollen and the New Year's Eve in Netherlands is a big affair. Well today I made oliebollen with my host father Rubin at Ellen Mothers house. After making and eating all the oliebollen we went home and got ready for the party at Rubin bothers house and I got ready to go to that party and to go to my friend Marloes’s house for the rest of the celebrations. Once at Marloes’s house we ate oliebollen and talked. 5 minutes to midnight Marloes sister light a wish balloon and we watched it fly into many different things. While watching the balloon I saw a flash from behind me and I noticed that it was midnight and that we missed the count down. After having to give kisses to Everyone we watched the fire works outside. I don’t think I have ever seen so many. Everyone had then and they were firing them off like torpedoes. I think one family had over 50 different kinds and cans of fireworks. After it was safe to walk in the streets again we headed over to our other friends house to celebrate with them . At Dianne house we watched a music concert and opened secret Santa gifts. After we left and went back to Marloes’s house to watch TV and eat more food. Finally I think it was around 3 in the morning we went to bed.
